In today’s day and age of independence and entrepreneurship the word obedience is seen as something negative and oppressive. The funny thing about this is that while we claim our independence many times we are also praying, God show me what to do!
Looking at Abraham in the OT gives us a better understanding of obedience which, in essence is simply receiving Gods guidance and being led by God, which is our answer to prayer and provides Gods best for our lives.
