Jesus gave us a model for prayer in the Lord’s Prayer. But Jesus also shows us a model of prayer not only for ourselves but for others. Intercession is where prayer comes full circle. Like Jesus we connect with God in prayer for our needs and direction in life. But we then also connect with others and pray for their needs.
