We all form narratives. Stories we tell about ourselves and others based on lived experience or what we have been taught. Some narratives are based on tradition, the beliefs of others and things we have been told by those we trust.

Some of these stories can be problematic and many times may not truly reflect the real you. We have the ability to reflect on these stories and we have the power (sometimes with the help of others) to re-write our stories.

As LGBTIQ Christians there is a narrative that has been written about us, but this narrative does not reflect the reality of who we are in Christ. We can re-write that story so that other don’t have to live that story.

We do that through the power of our testimony. What has Jesus done for me. I am a child of God dearly loved like all other children of God. Let’s re-write the narrative about Rainbow Christians.

“Melbourne Inclusive Church (MIC) boldly and proudly proclaims Christ’s equal love for all people regardless of their ability, socio-economic status, sexual orientation, age, gender or culture.”
