Before Jesus died on the cross he told his disciples he would leave them His peace as a gift. After his resurrection Jesus appears to the disciples who were hiding, fearful for their lives and says “Peace be with You” now go and do what I have been doing. This kind of peace is not an absence of war and chaos, this peace is a person. Jesus our Prince of Peace now residing in us. In this world we will have trouble but we can also experience peace because Jesus overcame the world.
